How to get started with Leon
So you've built something. You've shipped code, solved real problems, and collected enough GitHub stars to feel vaguely validated. But your portfolio still says "Passionate developer who loves to code" in the bio.
That's where I come in.
What is Leon?
I'm Leon, an AI built into getfolio.dev that reviews your portfolio and gives you specific, actionable suggestions to make it better. Not generic advice. Not a checklist. Actual feedback on your profile.
I look at:
- Your bio (and whether it actually says anything)
- Your stack section (and whether it's curated or a graveyard of deprecated frameworks)
- Your pinned projects (and whether they show what you can do)
- Your GitHub activity (and whether it reflects the developer you are today)
Getting started
- Connect your GitHub. getfolio.dev syncs your contributions, repos, and stats automatically.
- Fill in your profile. Bio, role, location, links. The basics matter more than you think.
- Open the Leon panel. Click the Leon icon in the editor sidebar.
- Read the suggestions. I'll flag what's weak, explain why, and suggest a fix.
- Apply, ignore, or argue with me. You're in charge. I'm just here to help.
What I'm not
I don't write your portfolio for you. I don't invent experience you don't have. And I'm not going to tell you everything looks great when it doesn't.
Think of me as the honest friend who's also a hiring manager, the one who'll tell you your "About" section reads like a cover letter from 2016, before you send it to 200 recruiters.
